A weekend away

Lane and I weren't able to go to the Bahamas as planned, but we were able to get away. Thanks to Karen, we were able to leave the kids and head to Glacier National Park in Montana. It was beautiful. The picture to the right is a picture of Lane looking at Lake McDonald. It is crystal

clear! There isn't really any sand. The bottom looks like river rock. From here we drove up to Logan Pass. On the way we stopped by a waterfall and climbed to the top. I was so excited to climb to the top I didn't realize how steep the climb was until we came back down. Although I was in sandals, I made it down without falling! I was very proud of myself! Lane is pointing to the water coming down at the top of the waterfall. I think next time we go, we might take a picnic and a good book and stay at the top of the waterfall for awhile. It was peaceful.

As we continued our journey towards Logan pass -- we saw snow! Surprise! Surprise! Not really. However, we soon found we were not dressed appropriately for Logan Pass. It was cold! Some people were in full snow gear. Which made sense. The following picture is of the mountain we could have climbed to at Logan Pass. We opted not to. I don't think our temperments nor our body temperatures, would have remained warm if we had climbed the mountain.

And just in case you don't think I let Lane take my picture, I know it is a rare occasion that I do, the following is a picture of me at McDonald Lodge.

That's about it for our weekend. I have some cool pictures of the kids that I'll post and explain later.
